Miss Brittany Shaffer

Piano / Voice

Brittany grew up in a home full of musicians that encouraged her from a young age to pursue the arts. Ever since she can remember, Brittany was either playing the piano for church or singing with her dad in community choirs. In highschool, the influence of her private piano teacher convinced her to pursue music in college. She graduated with honors from Mississippi College in 2020, where she earned two bachelor’s degrees: one in vocal performance and one in collaborative piano. She finished the first year of a Master’s in Collaborative Piano at the University of Mississippi, before marrying her husband in 2021. Because of the variety of teaching she received during her education, Brittany has not only played lead roles in operas and musicals, but also performed piano concertos with orchestras, directed musical theater at summer camps, won state wide vocal competitions, conducted choirs, and played piano for multiple churches. Brittany is thrilled for the opportunity to share her passion with students of all ages.

In her free time, you can find Brittany relaxing with her husband Chris and their Australian shepherd, Banjo. She is a raging hockey fan, coffee addict, anime lover, amateur watercolorist, and adventurer. For her next adventure, Brittany and her husband can’t wait to welcome their first child in May of 2022.
